Instagram has announced the launch of Branded Content Ads, which offer companies a new way to boost their association with influencers on the platform.
While Branded Content Ads were first announced last March , they were still in their beta testing phase. But you won't have to wait much longer since they have been available for most advertisers since June 4, and on June 17 they will be ready for all advertisers on their platform.
This is how branded content ads will be, Instagram's new advertising commitment to influencers
Instagram Branded Content Ads arrive for all advertisers
“ Starting today, advertisers will have the ability to promote organic posts that influ Mexico Mobile Number List encers have created as in-feed ads. 68% of users have indicated that they enter Instagram to interact with creators. Through Branded Content Ads, companies will have the opportunity to tell their brand stories through influencers, reach new audiences and measure their impact,” Instagram explained in a post on its official blog .
While brands have so far been able to work with popular influencers on Instagram to create ad campaigns to promote their products, these posts only reach the influencers' followers, limiting their reach.
Branded Content Ads allow advertisers to promote these same Instagram posts the same way they would any other ad, expanding opportunities for reach and engagement.
One more advantage of using Branded Content Ads is that brands will be able to obtain detailed reports on the performance of these collaborations, that is, they will have greater control over their investments in influencer marketing and create more transparent campaigns and better focus on relevant results.
How to create a campaign with Branded Content Ads
Instagram has shared step-by-step instructions for a brand to launch a campaign with Branded Content Ads:
1. Access permission

The first thing you will need to do is grant the influencer permission to tag your brand or business in their post . To do this, you must enter your business profile and select the “Business Configuration” option.
If the “require approvals” option is activated, you will see a section called “Approved accounts” , if the “require approvals” option is deactivated you will not need to do anything else for now.
Once you choose “Approved Accounts” you can add the Instagram handle or username of the influencer you will partner with. By doing so, you allow the content creator to tag your brand in a post, which will give you permission to promote the post as an ad.
2. Branded Content Ads campaign configuration
When creating an ad from an influencer's post on Instagram, you can select reach, brand awareness, video views, traffic, or engagement as objectives.
Once the influencer has tagged your brand in a post, you must enter the ads manager , choose one of the aforementioned objectives, establish your audience, and in the “location” field select “Instagram Feed.”
Now you must choose “ Use existing post” to select the Branded Content Ads that the influencer has tagged, browse the content and choose the content you want to promote.
Finally you will see a preview of your ad, and if everything looks good, you just have to click “Confirm”. Once you have created your ad, it will need to be reviewed by Facebook and you will be notified once it has been approved. Your ad will appear in the Instagram feeds of your chosen audience.
