CAFFENIO , together with Coparmex Sonora Norte and Fundación Coppel , held the first Philanthropy Summit in Hermosillo, Sonora, in order to promote the culture of citizen participation by making visible and recognizing the people who are working for the social topics. In this first edition, 42 organizations registered and more than 250 people attended the culmination event.

20 finalist organizations, among which a donation from the Coppel Foundation for $1,500,000 was divided.

The brand gave another important boost to help make philanthropic causes visible with its dynamic “You are part of our heart.” With a prize of 100 thousand pesos to the winner, CAFFENIO requested that the CSOs make a video where they share with people the importance of their work, their feelings when doing it and why they deserved this reward.
The videos were uploaded to the Facebook page of the Philanthropy Summit, where people were able to interact with “likes” and vote to designate the winner, with the George Papanicolaou Hermosillo Group being the one that obtained this donation, a prize that was delivered by Manuel Vázquez Escudero, General Director of CAFFENIO. Thanks to this donation they will be able to help more people in the fight against cancer!
